Our hope in creating First Pick Handmade is to strengthen communities through the power of Buying Local and to further connect the Vancouver Creative Community. It feels right to continue the Mission with our First Pick Handmade Home Decor Market, as for persons with Handmade Fashion in our closets, it only makes sense to incorporate handmade into our meals, entertaining and relaxing as well.
Much like our All Fashion Market, our All Decor Market will feature only items for the home, presented in a way to outfit each room in the house. Our goal is to handpick the best of Handmade and present it in an accessible and inspiring manner… to make it easy to find what you are looking for and while support local designers.
From Candles to Cushions, we curate a selection of thoughtfully Made In Canada items, with a focus on good design, durable fabrics and functionality. We celebrate Slow Living, Buying with Intention and the Buy Local movements, with the intent to create a venue for local designers to sell their work directly to the public. As designers ourselves, we understand the need for spaces like First Pick Handmade: spaces to debut new work and show limited run products, and we hope that you enjoy our Home Decor Market as much as our Fashion Market.
